Observation Date / Time

Several other witnesses also observed as well... large (male?) laying in the middle of the north lane of Carmel Valley Rd.
I stayed on the scene for 5-10 minutes, cat was still alive, eyes open, alert but still, no sounds. After a few cars that were stopped decided to drive on and passed the cat by ~8 feet, the cat dragged itself off the road and down the embankment. the lower half of the body did not seem to be working broken legs/hips. I left when emergency 1st responders arrived and showed them where the lion had moved down the embankment.
