Unfortunately, I am the one that hit the coyote. It was in the middle of the east bound lane. The coyote looked like it was squatting in the middle of the lane. I tried slowing down but didn't slow down in time and hit it straight on. I pulled over and confirmed it was dead and pulled it off the road into the dirt shoulder.
