Mostly sunny. Cold. Conifer forest surrounding. Blue jay was on the shoulder, flew up when car approached.

Clear sky, sun below trees. Shoulder vegetated. Conifer stands on both sides of road. Bird was sitting (foraging?) on the shoulder. Flew across road when the car came near.

Two crows on the edge of the road. They flew off as I approached them in the car.
