It was very difficult to view anything other than a fast flash of either light tan or white, then a very large bird smacked into my windshield and disappeared just as quickly. The only thing i can possibly take a photo of is the residue it left on my windshield (some powdery substance, dust maybe) and a sole drop of blood on the roof of my car. I am assuming that the bird was dispatched on impact. Once again, i feel the absolute worst about this.

Location Description
I hit the owl, northbound on hwy 101. The road is undergoing maintenance it is restricted to single lane traffic in either direction. The owl flew into my windshield. Scared the snickles out of me. I feel TERRIBLE as i find owls very stoic. I doubled back to attempt to help if i could, but was unable to find the poor thing.
