From Jose Gallegos Road Crew: I was called by Caltrans TMC per CHP today at 0300 hours to pick up a deceased bear cub on the Northbound 14 freeway just south of Pearblossom Highway off ramp on the right shoulder, PM 54.30. The cub was struck by a vehicle. The cub is being dropped off at the Palmdale Animal Shelter in case anyone is interested. It is not collared, nor did I locate a collar at the location.
