Location Description
Heavy rainstorms in recent days making it difficult for raptors to hunt. I encountered an adult Red-tailed Hawk on a ground squirrel, standing in the middle of the road, about 100 yards from this road-killed immature. I had to come to a complete stop in order for it to fly away which it did do with the ground squirrel in its clutches.
