Saw at least two owls and three hawks dead on the side of Highway 12 over a two-mile stretch, about four miles east of the Sacramento/San Joaquin county line on the westbound shoulders. Concerned to see so many dead raptors in such a short stretch of highway, especially since we did not see any along the rest of the highway.
