This roadkill juvenile Northern Flicker was salvaged on 13 June 1987 and placed into the University of California, Santa Barbara Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration's ornithology scientific collection (CCBER Catalogue No. Birds 21512). This entry is based on information taken from field collection notes, as such the date is accurate but the time of the salvage was not noted. Identification by observer confirmed by museum.
