This road intersects a large stretch of natural grass fields where deer graze. I saw what I think was this very deer and took a photo of it just a few days prior to finding the carcass - I recognize him because of the antlers, which were strangely missing from the body - the antler had been sliced off at the base where it met the skull, leading me to believe someone had gotten out of their car and removed it.
